Interactive Schroedinger Simulator
Join us for an exciting Education Demo Day, an online event organized by Quantum Flagship CSA, showcasing an innovative educational tool visualising the behaviour of a quantum system.
In this session, Joan Ainaud Fondevila from Facultat de Física, Universitat de Barcelona will present
Quantum Movement - a computer program that simulates and displays the behaviour of a single particle quantum system in two dimensions. The program allows bachelor’s students and teachers to visualize results from the class, while also allowing a more general public to see both the classical aspects still present in quantum theory, but also purely quantum mechanical effects like interference. The program has
- a sandbox mode, where the user can define a large number of features, e.g. potential wells, external fields, etc, and perform time evolution of custom-made initial states,
- a set of prepared examples to study the uncertainty principle, quantum tunnelling, the Aharonov-Bohm effect, or simply the way a quantum particle falls due to "gravity".
You are welcome to contact Joan Ainaud Fondevia (jainaufo35@alumnes.ub.edu) for more information about the Quantum Movement.
