Quantum and hybrid computers for Europe – EuroQCS

As part of the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU), six sites across the European Union were selected in 2022 to operate the first EuroHPC quantum computers:

  • Czechia, project LUMI-Q
  • France, project EuroQCS-France
  • Germany, project Euro-Q-Exa
  • Italy, project EuroQCS-Italy
  • Poland, project EuroQCS-Poland
  • Spain, project EuroQCS-Spain

This is in addition to the HPCQS project, running since December 2021, which aims to integrate two quantum simulators – each controlling about 100+ qubits – into two already existing supercomputers in France and Germany.
