The Quantum Flagship is looking for candidates to participate in working groups on the Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) and Innovation.

The two working groups shall provide a framework for interaction and coordination with the scientific branches of the research community as well as with industry and RTO.

The proposed structure of the SRA-WG follows that of the Quantum Flagship, consisting of sub-committees in all areas:

  1. Communication
  2. Computation
  3. Simulation
  4. Sensing and Metrology
  5. Engineering and Control
  6. Software and Theory
  7. Basic Science

The Innovation Working Group is seeking academic and industrial partners who are willing to contribute to the following tasks:

  1. Connect with existing trade or professional associations, European Technology Platforms, ERANets in related areas.

  2. Workshops with sessions devoted to applications.

  3. Connect potential start-up creators with business incubators / accelerators / innovation boot camps / venture capital that could provide them with coaching / consultation.

  4. Connect European technology/ nanofabrication and nano-manipulation platforms amongst each other and with Start-ups and SME with the aim of facilitating access.

  5. Develop criteria / methodology for identifying use-cases.

Applications or suggestions for the SRA-WG should be addressed to Rob Thew and the Innovation WG to Thierry Debuisschert.

    Funded by the European Commission under the Digital Europe programme, the QKISS (Quantum Key Industrial SystemS) project aims to develop high-performance, secure and certifiable European quantum key distribution (QKD) systems within 2 to 3 years.     From Feb 27th to March 2nd, the Quantum Flagship held a 100m2 stand at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023. The congress, which took place at the Fira de Barcelona convention Centre in Barcelona, attracted more than 61,000 attendees from 168 countries across the globe.
