Become Involved in the European QKD Testbed initiative: Open Call and Quantum Industry Board

Published on June 15th, 2020

The Open European Quantum Key Distribution Testbed (OPENQKD) is a collaborative research project funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program. It aims at deploying a Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) testbed located over several sites in Europe, demonstrating a wide range of use cases where QKD technology can offer enhanced security.

1st round of Open Calls

OPENQKD foresees as an eligible activity, the provision of financial support to subcontractors and thereby announces its first Open Call. Applicants are invited to submit proposals on the development and deployment of use cases for QKD testbeds and the exploration, development and benchmarking of security solutions using QKD as one of their building blocks. Successful applicants can receive up to €80.000 in support of their activities.

The Open Call 2-stage application procedure is now open and the deadline for the first stage is on June 29, 2020.

Check all the relevant information, register, go through the eligibility and evaluation criteria and submit your proposal on this website:
