Job Description
QuIC is looking for a talented Quantum Technology Program Manager to lead the activities of our work groups. Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
– Actively participating in work group undertakings alongside leading members of the pan-European quantum industry and research communities.
Supporting industry leaders in planning, coordinating, and advancing work groups.
– Investigating and providing inputs on a range of quantum-related and quantum-adjacent topics, such as Intellectual property and international trade, Standardisation, Education and professional trainings, Market trends and use cases.
– Drafting meeting minutes, producing reports and impactful presentations on QuIC activities.
Working directly with business leaders and representatives of eminent research and technology organisations from across Europe.
– Interfacing with national- and European public bodies on QuIC-relevant topics.
– Collaborating with international industry partners on subjects of common interest.
You will report directly to the QuIC Executive Director and be an integral part of the QuIC’s executive team.
Your Profile
– Academic background: advanced degree in physics or an engineering discipline, preferably with a focus on quantum research and/or quantum technologies.
.- Qualified work experience (3+ years) in the area of quantum science, quantum technologies, and/or the quantum industry.
– Leadership skills: successful experience in leading and managing public research projects and international collaborations. Able to motivate and mobilise partners. Able to deliver quality results in a timely manner in a team collaboration setting.
– General: good communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated analytical skills with attention to details, reliable with tasks and responsibilities.
– Fluent in English. Business proficiency in another European language is a plus.
– Citizen or legal resident with work permit of a Member State of the European Union, Liechtenstein, Switzerland or the United Kingdom.
Position location, Start Date, Contract Type
Work will be conducted primarily remotely, from a home / mobile office, using digital tools to connect with QuIC members and external collaborators. You will nonetheless be expected to travel occasionally to meet with QuIC employees, members and other relevant stakeholders, and carry out work group activities.
Start Date: 1 September 2022
Contract type: Independent worker, 33-month fixed term contract.

The European Quantum Industry Consortium (QuIC) is a pan-European non-profit association dedicated to the advancement of commercial quantum solutions and Europe’s competitiveness in quantum technology on the global stage. Established in 2021 by several major business actors from across Europe, the non-profit association today regroups nearly 150 members, including large enterprises, SMEs, investors, and startups. The consortium operates as a collaborative hub, bringing members together to work on subjects of common interest and forging a vibrant, collaborative pan-European quantum ecosystem. Topics addressed by the consortium work groups include: law & trade, standardisation of emerging quantum tech, education and professional trainings, market intelligence, and the pan-European industry’s strategic roadmap.
