The European Commission recently published the 2025 work programmes for Horizon Europe and Digital Europe, revealing a host of exciting new funding opportunities for quantum technologies (QT). In particular, there are three Quantum Flagship calls open until 2 October 2025:
The last of these is a joint call with the Republic of Korea, with €8mil in funding. There is also a joint call with Japan open until 25 September 2025:
Furthermore, an upcoming IRIS² call for EuroQCI has been published with the following three topics:
The IRIS2 calls will open in July, with a submission deadline of 16 October 2025.
Meanwhile, the QuantERA network has pre-announced its next call for proposal, expected to be fully published on 4 September 2025 with a preliminary submission deadline of 5 December 2025. As in previous years, the call is divided into two topics, under which all the main areas of QT can be addressed:
A match-making tool has been opened to help potential applicants find partners. Consortia must feature partners from at least three of the participating countries, which includes most of the EU27 but also e.g. Republic of Korea, Switzerland, Türkiye and UK.
