The Quantum Flagship strengthened its presence at the MWC2023

From Feb 27th to March 2nd, the Quantum Flagship held a 100m2 stand at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023. The congress, which took place at the Fira de Barcelona convention Centre in Barcelona, attracted more than 61,000 attendees from 168 countries across the globe.

For this edition, the Quantum Flagship organised every day the Quantum Coffee Talks, an hour per day slot for companies and initiatives to announce their newest products and milestones, connect with the audience in a dynamic way, create potential synergies and business opportunities.

The visit of the European Commissioner Thierry Breton

During the first day of the Congress, the European Quantum Space welcomed the European Commissioner of Internal Market Thierry Breton. It was the opportunity for Philippe Grangier, coordinator of QUCATS, to show the state of play of quantum in Europe, through the different companies and initiatives present in the booth.

Following the Commissioner visit, the Quantum Flagship also received members of the Catalan government, notably the President of Catalonia, Pere Aragonès, and the Minister of Business and Work of the Catalonia, Roger Torrent.

Quantum Flagship exhibitions

During this edition, the Quantum Flagship presented seven companies and three initiatives. It was the opportunity for them to present their work, their products and ambitious vision. It was also the chance to connect with potential users and clients.

Quantum technologies definitely catch people’s interest. With different backgrounds and fields of expertise, visitors were not only interested in quantum technology, but they were also very curious about more in-depth information on how to incorporate quantum in their field and learning about what Europe Commission has invested as efforts to push the future of Europe’s technologies for both industry and science.
