The European Commission opens a call for expression of interest for the hosting and operation of the European quantum computers integrated in the HPC supercomputer.
The European High-Performance Computing (HPC) Joint Undertaking was established in June 2021, aiming to develop, deploy, extend and maintain a secure and hyperconnected supercomputing service and data infrastructure ecosystem in Europe. The primary goal is to autonomously produce quantum computing technologies and architectures, integrating them into the HPC computing systems and making them available to users, to address the growing demand from European industry and academia for applications with industrial, scientific, and societal relevance.
In this framework, the Governing Board of the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking launches a Call for Expressions of Interest to select hosting entities for quantum computers, open to entities or consortia of entities which include the facilities to host and operate a quantum computer in a Member state. The applications deadline will close on June 30th, 2022.
As this is an EU Synergy call, grants and procurements can be linked with another grant from any other EU funding program.
