At Planckian we develop architectures for quantum computers and technologies, scalable by design.
We leverage a unique platform to solve interdependencies between quantum information processing and energy, targeting operational efficiency.
We are now seeking a Quantum Scientist to expand our team.
If you:
are ready to join a group of emerging scientists and leading experts bridging the gap between theoretical quantum physics and useful quantum technologies.
strive to work at the center of a world-class research ecosystem.
have the rare combination of both outstanding technical skills and boldness to work at the frontier in a dynamic startup environment
we would love to learn more about you.
What You'll Be Doing
You’ll contribute to the development of novel QPU architectures based on superconducting qubits. You will work within the Theory & Modeling Team to model the quantum dynamics of the system and improve quantum operations fidelity. Working alongside experimentalists, you will focus on device-level physics to provide insights and inform the design of novel QPU based on our proprietary platform.
Your tasks will include:
Developing models of entangling gates on QPUs and performing pulse-level dynamic simulations.
Designing techniques for optimal control to improve quantum gates performance in multiple configurations
Performing computational modeling and simulations and numerical analysis to predict quantum dynamics and optimize experimental activities.
Requirements
PhD in Physics or related subject.
Deep understanding of solid-state hardware platforms for quantum technologies (superconducting circuits, semiconductors).
Advanced knowledge of quantum computation and quantum information.
Programming skills, in particular Python
Nice to have: postdoctoral experience in a high-quality research environment.
What We Offer
Competitive salary
Stock options
Unlimited annual leave
Flexible working hours with hybrid working
Ego-free, merit-based environment
What you should expect from the hiring process
invite to interviews within two weeks from application
up to 4 interviews with the Team
offer to join the Team within two weeks after the last interview
Top tip: During interviews, we try to assess your lateral thinking and proactivity. Leveraging STAR method with examples relevant for the position can help you excel during interviews.
How to apply
