The quantum optimization team at the Hamburg University of Technology is looking for PhD students and postdocs on two topics.
Topic 1: Quantum algorithms for estimating properties of quantum many-body systems for quantum chemistry. The research will focus on the estimation of ground state properties of systems relevant in quantum chemistry. A close collaboration with Covestro (Christian Gogolin) is anticipated.
Topic 2: Quantum computing, in particularly quantum computer readout for energy estimation. The research will focus on the estimation of material science properties and continue our research on ShadowGrouping. A close collaboration with IQM and Bosch is anticipated.
