ACNS Workshop on Quantum-Safe Hybrid Cryptography

This workshop aims to explore the synergies between (symmetric/asymmetric) quantum-safe and quantum cryptography. A leading example is the design of Hybrid Authenticated Key Exchange (HAKE) protocols that combine conventional, post-quantum, and quantum cryptography. While the topic is traditional, several new approaches have been proposed recently. The issue is pressing for the design of the future European Quantum Communication Infrastructure (EuroQCI) that will span the European Union. Beyond HAKE, quantum-safe cryptography has been used to build quantum protocols that demonstrate a quantum advantage (e.g., quantum oblivious transfer). This workshop will provide researchers, engineers, and practitioners a platform to discuss recent advancements.

The World of Quantum — Trade fair for quantum technologies is held during the same week.

For the workshop, we anticipate the following list of topics covered by contributed talks:

• Hybrid Authenticated Key Exchange (HAKE) combining conventional, post-quantum, and quantum cryptography for key exchange

• Quantum-Safe Hybrid Cryptography, i.e., (symmetric/asymmetric) quantum-safe and quantum cryptography such as hybrid PQC/quantum cryptography protocols beyond HAKE

• Secure Quantum Computing

• Quantum-Safe Standardization Efforts

• Topics related to the European Quantum Communication Infrastructure (EuroQCI)
