Dear colleagues,
we would like to draw your attention to the upcoming
*** 7th Seefeld Quantum Information Workshop (21- 26.6.2026) ***
to be held in the beautiful village of Seefeld in Tirol, Austria.
This will be the seventh edition of the workshop which focuses on recent developments in quantum information and computation—entanglement theory, quantum networks, non-locality, quantum measurements and tomography, quantum metrology, entanglement in condensed matter systems and more. More information regarding the workshop can be found on the workshop webpage (https://ritschgroup.uibk.ac.at/seefeld2026/index.htm). The aim of these workshops is to bring together researchers working in the field of quantum information to discuss the latest developments in the field and establish collaborations in a relaxing and picturesque village of the Austrian Alps. To that end, very few talks will be scheduled per day in order to facilitate plenty of time for fruitful discussions.
A number of prominent speakers have confirmed their participation and we anticipate an interesting and stimulating meeting.
Confirmed speakers include (alphabetically):
Plenary speakers:
— Antonio Acín (ICFO Barcelona, Spain)
— Ignacio Cirac (MPQ Garching, Germany)
— Matthias Christandl (Copenhagen, Denmark)
— Misha Lukin (Harvard, USA)
Invited speakers:
— Julio de Vicente (Complutense, Madrid)
— Vedran Dunjko (Leiden, Netherlands)
— Nicolai Friis (TU, Vienna, Austria)
— Dmitry Grinko (Amsterdam, Netherlands)
— Sofiene Jerbi (Berlin, Germany)
— Richard Küng (JKU, Linz, Austria)
— Daniel Manzano (Granada, Spain)
— Mio Murao (Tokyo, Japan)
— Hannes Pichler (IQOQI Innsbruck, Austria)
— Pavel Sekatski (Geneva, Switzerland)
— Rahul Trivedi (MPQ Garhing, Germany)
— Ramona Wolf (Siegen, Germany)
In addition to the invited talks, we plan to have an extensive poster session and we strongly encourage participants to present a poster about their current research.
Registration for the workshop is now open. Due to limited capacity, and in order to maximize the number of participants, we strongly encourage applicants to share a double room. The workshop fee is €950 per person and includes 5 nights accommodation, half board, afternoon buffet and coffee breaks. For more information, please visit the workshop homepage.
