The Quantum Flagship extends its warmest congratulations to Profs. Alain Aspect, John F. Clauser and Anton Zeilinger for being awarded the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics. This represents a huge achievement for the scientists, their colleagues, and quantum technologies in general.

The trio share the prize equally, awared “for experiments with entangled photons, establishing the violation of Bell inequalities and pioneering quantum information science”. These experiments laid the foundations for many quantum technologies such as quantum computing and quantum communications.
