Now that most of us are confined to stay at home, reading is one of the many things we can do and enjoy every day.
Taking advantage of this, from the Quantum Flagship we would like to launch the Quantum Reads campaign (#quantumreads), aimed at encouraging quantum experts and researchers to share and recommend to the general public their favorite Quantum Physics book. It can be a popular science or even academic book, that you have read recently or that you liked when you were young and that helped you choose the field for your professional development.
Why promote Quantum physics books? We are aware that Quantum technologies will have a major impact in the future of our society and thus, in order to understand these technologies, it will be important for people to understand the basic concepts and applications of the field.
How to participate as a researcher?
If you are a quantum expert or researcher and wish to share a book about the topic that you enjoyed or loved reading, be it academic or popular science, we would like you to record a very short video (1min max) explaining why you recommend it and how it could help people understand the complex principles and laws of quantum mechanics.
When recording your video:

How to Share:
If you do not have a Twitter or Linkedin account, just send us your video to communications@qt.eu with your name and institute affiliation and your video will be shared on the Quantum Flagship’s Twitter and LinkedIn accounts.
If you do have your own Twitter account and wish to post it there, then please include the hashtag #quantumreads and the @QuantumFlagship account in your post to allow us to retweet it.
