The role

As a Superconducting Qubit Design Engineer, you will be part of the development of our new, cutting-edge microwave architecture embedding the superconducting resonators, and specifically designed to preserve and control their quantum states. Your mission will be to develop, simulate and troubleshoot microwave circuits and their controls. You will work hand in hand with the experimental physicists building the quantum processor and develop state-of-the-art hardware to control and design an ever more complex system. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Numerical simulations for the on-chip circuit and its packaging
  • Accurate prediction of interface losses
  • Accurate prediction of inter resonator couplings
  • Design, development and troubleshoot of room temperature hardware (filters, PCBs, etc.)
  • Design of the architecture of the upcoming multi-qubits circuits

Requirements

The job has been made for you if you have:

  • An MSc or PhD degree in electrical/microwave engineering or related subject
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with EDA software Ansys HFSS
  • Experience in Python programming
  • Experience with PCB layout software
  • Strong knowledge in transmission line theory and wave propagation
  • Knowledge on passive and active RF/MW components
  • Experience in cryogenics and/or quantum mechanics (icing on the cake)
