The internationally recognized Quantum Information Technologies Research Group at the University of Warsaw, led by Prof. Magdalena Stobińska, is seeking an outstanding postdoctoral researcher to join our dynamic team.

Your Research Journey: You will lead research projects exploring the fascinating frontiers of quantum science, focusing on quantum information theory and quantum entanglement. You’ll investigate nonlocality and quantum networks, working to bridge theoretical frameworks with experimental implementations. While our group’s primary focus is theoretical, you’ll have the unique opportunity to participate in and guide proof-of-concept demonstrations through our experimental collaborations. You’ll also have the opportunity to co-supervise PhD and master’s students.
Ideal Candidate: We’re looking for candidates who hold a PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields. The ideal candidate should have a strong publication record and demonstrated expertise in quantum mechanics/information/optics, along with proficient programming skills in languages such as Python or MATLAB. Experience with quantum computing platforms is a plus. Excellent communication skills in English are essential, as is a track record of collaborative research and creative problem-solving. Experience in securing research funding and/or project management is desirable. Practical Details: The position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, plus additional project funding. The anticipated start date lies between May-October 2025. You’ll be based at the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics, University of Warsaw, Poland.
