Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in quantum technology software, focusing on applications of artificial intelligence to quantum technologies. Research is performed at Faulhorn Zrt. (Budapest, Hungary, https://faulhornlabs.com/), in a collaborative effort with the Wigner Research Centre for Physics (Budapest, Hungary), the Fraunhofer IAF (Freiburg, Germany), and XeedQ GmbH (Ulm, Germany). The start will be 1 November 2023 or later (by agreement) and the position is available for up to 30 months.
The postdoctoral researcher will do research and software development (primarily in python) in one of the following directions: (1) simulation of quantum computing hardware, (2) quantum error mitigation, (3) quantum compilers, (4) quantum algorithms. PhD in quantum physics or a related field, and strong programming skills are required.
