This fellowship program supports excellent female researchers who are eager to launch or strengthen their independent careers in quantum science and technology. It is open to candidates from all countries and backgrounds who have recently completed their PhD or are about to finish.
About quantA
Quantum Science Austria (quantA) is a national Cluster of Excellence funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF). Bringing together more than 60 research groups across Austria, quantA is dedicated to advancing frontier research in quantum science and technology. The cluster fosters collaboration, innovation, and excellence in three main research areas: Quantum Information Science, Engineered Quantum Many-Body Systems, and the Quantum Nature of Space, Time & Gravity.

- Start date: Fellowships must begin by January 1, 2026
- Funding: Includes salary and a research allowance
- Host institutions: Leading universities and research centers in Austria
