At Planckian we are developing quantum battery, a new class of devices that can exploit quantum physical effects to manage energy in a revolutionary and more efficient way.
Building atop years of experience in advanced materials science and quantum information theory, our technology is designed to manage energy in a solid-state quantum device powered by entanglement.
We are now seeking a dynamic and extremely motivated quantum physicist/engineer to join our team.
Your role
As a rock-solid professional, your primary responsibilities will include:
- designing superconducting circuits with suitable connectivity and coupling strengths
- carrying out electromagnetic simulations using finite elements simulation tools
- collaborating with both application and fabrication teams, including external partners, to enhance co-design approaches and accelerate product development.
Depending on your background and interest, you might also play an active role in various other areas related to product development.
Your profile
We consider the following to be a relevant set of technical skills to be successful in the job:
- master’s degree or above in Physics or Electronic Engineering
- good experience in programming (i.e. Python, etc.)
- good command of electromagnetic simulation software
- knowledge of design tools for quantum circuits structures
Although you do not need previous quantum experience to apply for the jobs, we strongly value candidates with a good understanding of measurement concepts and former experience in cryogenics and lab technologies.
We are scientists at heart, working with an entrepreneurial mindset. We therefore expect you to be:
- eager to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- highly adaptable, with good communication and interpersonal skills
- a problem–solver and a doer
- ready to take initiative and work in a self-driven manner.
Our offer
We work around the clock to provide a perfect environment where people can learn, grow and express themselves best.
You should therefore expect from us:
- competitive salary based on skills and experience
- participation in the company’s stock option plan
- flexible working hours with hybrid or onsite working
- you name it – and we’ll try our best
How to apply
Please send your CV at jobs@planckian.co (object: 23RD01) together with a short statement (max 5 lines) describing why you are the best candidate for the role.
