The Institute for Physics of the University of Rostock/Germany, is are looking to fill a PhD position within the DFG-funded project "Photonic non-Abelian quantum gates“. The successful candidate will be part of the 'Quantum optics of macroscopic systems'  group of Prof. Stefan Scheel. The aim of this project is to further develop the theory of non-Abelian geometric phases in integrated photonic waveguide systems, to design and optimize holonomic waveguide circuits  for small-scale quantum circuits, and to assist with their experimental implementation.
