Research Assistant (PostDoc, m/f/d) in experimental physics (Salary Scale 13 TV-L, 100 %)
The Institute of Quantum Optics invites applications for the position of a Research Assistant (PostDoc, m/f/d) in experimental physics (Salary Scale 13 TV-L, 100 %) starting in the near term. The position is limited to 2 years.
The Quantum Atom Optics group at the Institute of Quantum Optics, led by apl. Prof. Dr. Carsten Klempt, generates highly entangled atomic states in BECs for fundamental quantum optics experiments and precision measurements. In the framework of this project, the group offers a postdoc position. The postdoc will join a team of 2-3 PhD students and will take a leading role in the main experiments on a productive experimental apparatus
PhD students and postdocs take part in the program of the Collaborative Research Center Designed States of Quantum Matter. In addition, the group is part of the newly acquired Cluster of Excellence QuantumFrontiers.
A PhD degree in physics or an equivalent is required for applicants. Experience in experimental atomic and laser physics and/or quantum optics is required.
Part-time employment is possible.
As an equal opportunities employer, Leibniz University Hannover intends to promote women and men. For this reason suitably qualified women are specifically invited to apply.
Preference will be given to equally qualified applicants with disabilities.
