The Numerical Analysis group at Delft University of Technology is offering a one-year Postdoc position in the field of quantum computer simulation technologies.
The overarching goal of this curiosity-driven research project is to develop a GPU-accelerated quantum computer simulator for the efficient and reliable simulation of many-qubit quantum algorithms beyond the limits of today’s simulators. The main focus is on developing customized number systems that are tailored to the particular demands
of gate-based quantum computer simulation and at the same time exploit the compute capabilities of modern GPUs.
The successful applicant will work within a team of researchers working on various aspects of quantum-accelerated numerical linear algebra.
