Junior Research Chair (JRC), International Centre for Fundamental Physics and its Interfaces (ENS-ICFP), Physics Department, Ecole normale supérieure (ENS), Paris, France
ENS Physics Department opens up two postdoctoral positions as JRC holders, for a two-year contract, with possible extension: one year for theoreticians and two years for experimentalists. In addition to an internationally competitive salary, the position includes an attractive travel allowance, and dedicated research funds for experimentalists (150 000 euros).
ENS Physics Department aims at recruiting outstanding candidates with international experience. Research activities can be experimental and/or theoretical, on the following themes:
– Astrophysics
– Biophysics: from cell to organism
– Fundamental interactions
– Quantum physics: from atoms to condensed matter
– Soft matter, fluids and interfaces
– Statistical and theoretical physics
JRC holder shall teach within the Master ENS-ICFP, and be integrated into ENS Physics Department and its research laboratories, LPENS and LKB.
Schedule
Closing date: October 31, 2020
Short-listed candidates will be interviewed via videoconference in December, 2020.
Final decision will be made in January 2021, for a position starting in September or October 2021.
