Foundation of Physics Research Center (FoPRC)

Foundation of Physics Research Center (FoPRC) is an independent international research Institute, with headquarter in Italy, devoted to the development of theoretical and applied research in Physics and to advanced technological applications for the progress of knowledge and humanity. To this aim FoPRC performs, promotes and diffuses activities mainly in the field of frontier research also by adopting and open-minded and interdisciplinary approach by establishing worldwide collaborations with universities, public and private research institutes, industries, governments, etc. FoPRC currently hosts seven research Divisions and has several collaborations with international partners, mainly located in western Europe, USA and JAPAN. Presently, most part of FoPRC activity focuses on quantum research both theoretical and applied to quantum technologies so much that FoPRC appears and is cited in several scientific publications related to this fields.
In particular, Theoretical and Advanced Technology research groups at FoPRC develop cutting-edge researches both in the field of theoretical foundations of quantum computation and communications and in the use of such results as the basis of foundation, design and realization of future quantum technologies also from an interdisciplinary point of view.
On this side, one of the most important research field at FoPRC is now related to the development of theoretical models of quantum hypercomputing by considering, in particular, quantum dynamics of evanescent photons, able to relate concepts in quantum field theory, condensed matter physics, quantum control and information, quantum communication, superconductive circuits, quantum cryptography, artificial intelligence and so on. The studies, researches and results performed by FoPRC during the last years from this point of view can be considered as the most innovative and original ones in the international framework as well as harbingers of unimaginable technological applications (as, first of all, the realization of quantum hypercomputers able to break the computational Turing barrier).
In order to complete all the stages of implementations of this project including the realization of an industrial prototype of such hypercomputer, the center also participates in network contracts, clusters, incubator activities able to attract research funds and venture capital investments.
