Within collaborative research center 1227 “Designed quantum states of matter” (CRC 1227 DQ-mat), this position is dedicated to atom interferometry using ultra-cold ytterbium for precision measurements and tests of fundamental physics. To this end, a variety of experimental methods and state-of-the-art technologies in the fields of laser physics, analogue and digital electronics, control engineering, programming, magnetic field design, seismic isolation, etc. are conveyed and utilized.
