ML4Q -- Matter and Light for Quantum Computing (Cluster of Excellence)

Are you looking for a research summer internship program?
Then join ML4Q Undergraduate Research Internship Program and get hands – on experience in one of our groups in Aachen, Bonn, Cologne, Düsseldorf or Jülich.
“Matter and Light for Quantum Computing” (ML4Q, is a new Cluster of Excellence funded within the Excellence Strategy by the German Research Foundation (DFG) since January 2019.
It is a cooperation between the universities of Cologne, Aachen, and Bonn, as well as the Research Center Jülich.
The ML4Q Research School offers a 8-12 weeks long research stay in one of ML4Q groups. As an internee you will become familiar with our cluster’s research and will have a chance to participate in seminars and other ML4Q meetings at different locations. This way, you can meet other students and scientist and start to build your professional network. As all the international students will be enrolled at the host universities, you can also profit from the various offers and get an insight into students’ life in Germany.
When: 8-12 weeks between May and September
Who can apply: Excellent international and German BSc students in Physics or other relevant program
• At least 4 completed semesters
• Completed course in quantum mechanics
• Excellent academic record reflected in overall GPA
• Proficiency in English corresponding to IELTS score of at least 6,5 or equivalent
• Research experience is a plus
Support: travel costs reimbursement up to 700 EUR +internship allowance of around 700 EUR per month;ML4Q Research School will assist in administrative issues.
