PhD and Postdoc position on Variational Quantum Algorithms at TU Berlin

Dear colleagues, one PhD position (36 months) and one postdoctoral position (18 months, with possibility of extension) are available at the Technische Universität Berlin, within the 'Quantum Communication and Cryptography' group, led by Anna Pappa. The hired students are expected to work broadly on: Variational quantum algorithms and implementations on noisy intermediate-scale quantum devices They should already have substantial knowledge of the field, either via an MSc or a PhD thesis on the topic, and be willing to travel for conferences and meetings with project partners, as well as contribute to the broader research and teaching activities of the group. The positions are remunerated at grade TV-L 13 of the German public servant salary tables (Tarifvertrag für den Öffentlichen Dienst der Länder), according to previous experience.
