“Enabling the next generation of computational physicists and engineers”
This interdisciplinary, intersectoral and multi-institutional project offers quality training in the fields of Computational High Energy Physics and Multiscale Systems. It aims to develop students’ competencies in High Performance Computing, in methodologies at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science approaches and Quantum Computing.
The Marie Sklodowska-Curie project “Enabling the next generation of computational physicists and engineers” (ENGAGE) invites application for 6 fellowships for the following projects and institutions:
– Machine learning techniques applied to lattice gauge theories G. Koutsou, The Cyprus Institute
– Computation of the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon using twisted mass fermions; C. Alexandrou, The Cyprus Institute
– Variational quantum computer simulations for quantum systems and optimization problems; K. Jansen, DESY-Zeuthen and Humboldt University of Berlin
– Jet Clustering in the HL-LHC era with Quantum Computing; K. Borras, DESY and RWTH Aachen-
– Higgs to bb tagging with Quantum Computing; C. Issever, Humboldt University of Berlin
– Algorithmic development of tensor networks for High Energy Physics; S. Montangero, University of Padova
