Postdoc position in Biomedical Optics & Quantum Technology
Quantum Information Group, Dept of Physics, Lund UniversityWe are on the verge of a breakthrough in optical imaging deep inside the body. This could enable a range of potential crucial medical applications including breast cancer screening, stroke and heart attack diagnosis. This deep tissue imaging is enabled by our recently identified and developed quantum-engineered frequency-domain filters in the tissue-transparent optical region, which lower the speed of light by several orders of magnitude. We have designed and built a new set-up for this technique and developed image-modeling tools. We now look for an additional experimentalist with experience in advanced optics to join us and our partners, to push the development, demonstrate the technique and make such medical applications come true.
