Boris Tsirelson, the Russian-Israeli mathematician who pioneered research in quantum nonlocality, passed away in January, 2020. Among his contributions to quantum information theory stand out the characterization of quantum XOR games, the discovery of self-testing and, of course, the famous Tsirelson bound. To honor Tsirelson's legacy, the Institute of Quantum Optics and Quantum Information (IQOQI) Vienna is organizing the one-week workshop on quantum nonlocality Tsirelson 2SQRT2. The workshop will take place in Vienna, in person, on April 4th-8th, 2022. Confirmed invited speakers are: Antonio Acín (ICFO Barcelona, Spain) Lluís Masanes (University College London, UK) Stefano Pironio (Université libre de Bruxelles, Belgium) Sandu Popescu (University of Bristol, UK) Valerio Scarani (National University of Singapore) William Slofstra (University of Waterloo, Canada) Nacho Villanueva (Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain) Tamás Vértesi (Institute for Nuclear Research, Hungary) Reinhard Werner (Leibniz Universität Hannover, Germany) We are now accepting submissions for contributed talks. If you are interested, please submit your abstract and paper via EasyChair. The submission deadline is the 7th of January. Decisions will be sent out by February 4th. The conference fee is 30 euros, plus 50 euros if you want to attend the conference dinner. We can offer travel support to a limited number of students.
