The QuantumFuture group of the University of Padova is organising the Quantum Communication School 2023 (http://qcomms.dei.unipd.it/), which will be held during the week of 22 - 26 May 2023 as part of the AppQInfo project funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme of the European Commission. The School will focus on aspects of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), quantum networks and protocols beyond QKD. The School will be held both by internationally recognised experts as well as upcoming scientists in Quantum Communications. Thus it will be an optimal occasion for individuals at different stages of their careers to interact, exchange knowledge and generate new ideas. The event will be attended by about 50 international students of PhD and Master’s levels with diverse backgrounds in the area of Quantum Photonics. For this purpose, we first aim to provide a basic understanding of QKD and then progressively cover more advanced concepts, such as Device-Independent (DI) QKD and Quantum Memories, both from a theoretical and an application point of view. You can find a preliminary schedule on the website http://qcomms.dei.unipd.it/.
