5th Seefeld Quantum information Workshop

28.06 → 03.07 2020 | Hotel Schönruh Austria

Dear colleagues,

we would like to draw your attention to the upcoming

*** 5th Seefeld Quantum Information Workshop (28.6. to 3.7.2020)  ***

to be held in the beautiful village of Seefeld in Tirol, Austria.

This will be the fifth edition of the workshop which focuses on recent developments in quantum information and computation—entanglement theory, non-locality, condensed matter systems, quantum networks and device certification to name a few. More information on the topics covered, as well as past participants of the workshop can be found on the webpages of the first (http://www.uibk.ac.at/th-physik/qi-seefeld2012/), second (http://www.uibk.ac.at/th-physik/qi-seefeld2014/), third (http://www.uibk.ac.at/th-physik/qi-seefeld2016/), and fourth (http://www.uibk.ac.at/th-physik/qi-seefeld2018/) editions. The spirit of these workshops is to allow researchers working in the field of quantum information to discuss the latest developments in the field, and establish collaborations in a relaxing and picturesque village of the Austrian Alps. To that end, very few talks will be scheduled per day in order to facilitate plenty of time for fruitful discussions.

A number of prominent speakers have confirmed their participation and we anticipate an interesting and stimulating meeting.

The workshop homepage can be found here (https://www.uibk.ac.at/th-physik/qi-seefeld2020/)

Confirmed speakers include (alphabetically):

Plenary speakers:

— Hans Briegel (University of Innsbruck)
— Ignacio Cirac (MPQ Garching)
— Rodney Van Meter (Keio University)
— Thomas Vidick (CalTech)

Invited speakers:

— Antonio Acín (ICFO, Barcelona)
— Jean-Daniel Bancal (University of Geneva)
— Harry Buhrmann (CWI, Amsterdam)
— Gemma de las Cuevas (University of Innsbruck)
— Vedran Dunjko (Leiden University)
— Jens Eisert (Frei Universität Berlin)

— Chiara Macchiavello (University of Pavia)
— Damian Markham (Sorbonne University)
— Ramon Muñoz-Tapia (GIQ, Barcelona)
— Stefano Pirandola (University of York)
