Quantum Technology at RWTH Aachen University

The two-year Master’s specialization, Quantum Technology (QT), at RWTH Aachen University is a collaboration between its Department of Physics and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology offering theoretical and experimental courses, and a dedicated lab course where theory is put into practice. The students will be also offered cutting-edge research projects and an industrial tie-up for internships. For international students, there’s also an option for the Master’s college for the bridging courses, where missing pre-knowledge is imparted. Note that the language of study is English.
The Master specialization is also one of the strategic measures of the Cluster of Excellence Matter and Light for Quantum Computing (ML4Q) in the field of education and research, and it greatly profits from the close collaborations with experts from Jülich Research Center, Cologne, and Bonn Universities. In the framework of ML4Q, the RWTH Aachen University also awards full two-year QT Master scholarships to two outstanding students. More details can be found at www.rwth-aachen.de/mscqt
Apart from the QT Master specialization, the Department of Physics at RWTH Aachen University is also involved in the industrial education on QT-related courses and the outreach program with local schools on QT-related projects.
