We offer a six-week course on quantum computing for high school students.
In the first part of the course, we build up concepts for quantum computing from physical principles. We use polarization to introduce the qubit, compare the qubit to the classical bit, build up a set of quantum gates, present a simple quantum algorithm and give an outlook on quantum computing applications.
The second part of the course consists of practical assignments. Students discover more algorithms, cryptography, advanced math, societal implications, and more.
